Privacy Policy

Keep On Posting (keeponposting.com) is a planning tool for social media teams. A team uses it to plan content, track events and outreach, and see and manage the Instagram account of the business they work for. This policy explains what information the site handles and why.
Who this applies to
- Team members who use a workspace with its access code.
- Businesses that connect their Instagram professional account to a workspace.
- People who interact with a connected Instagram account, for example by sending it a Direct Message, mentioning it in a story, or tagging it in a post.
Information we collect
What teams enter. Events, content plans, captions, outreach notes, and the names team members type to show who did what. There are no user accounts, and we don't collect email addresses or passwords from team members. Each workspace has one shared access code.
Instagram data, with the account owner's permission. When a business connects its Instagram professional account through Instagram's official API, we receive:
- Profile details such as username and follower count.
- The account's posts, reels and stories, and their statistics (views, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves).
- Posts in which the account is tagged.
- Audience statistics as totals and percentages, such as top cities, age ranges and gender. These are never tied to a specific person.
- Direct Messages sent to and from the account: the other person's Instagram username and Instagram-scoped ID, message text, attachments type, and timestamps. We keep at most the 50 most recent messages of each conversation.
Technical information. A cookie that keeps a team member signed in for up to 30 days. If someone enters a wrong access code, we temporarily store their IP address to stop repeated guessing. It's deleted after a successful sign-in and used for nothing else. The browser also saves small display preferences on the device itself.
How we use information
- To show the workspace team their plans, calendar, outreach and Instagram analytics.
- To let the team read the business's Instagram Direct Messages and reply on the business's behalf. Replies are sent only when a team member writes and sends them. Nothing is sent automatically.
- To mark planned content as posted when it appears on Instagram, and to build monthly and semester reports for the business.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell information, show ads, use information for advertising or profiling, or use it to train AI models.
Who can see it
Only people with the workspace's access code can see that workspace's data, including its Instagram data and Direct Messages. Workspaces are kept separate from each other.
We use these service providers to run the site:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores its database.
- Meta (Instagram) is where Instagram data comes from and where replies are sent.
We don't share information with anyone else, except if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Workspace content stays until the team deletes it or asks us to delete the workspace.
- Instagram statistics are refreshed regularly and kept for reports while the account stays connected.
- Direct Messages: at most the 50 most recent messages per conversation.
- When a business disconnects its Instagram account or asks us to, we delete its Instagram data within 30 days.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS. Instagram access tokens are stored as encrypted secrets and are never shown on the site. Access to each workspace requires its access code, and repeated wrong guesses are blocked.
Your choices
- Businesses can disconnect Instagram at any time in Instagram: Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites, then remove the app.
- Anyone, including people who sent a Direct Message to a connected account, can ask us to delete their information. See our Data Deletion page.
Children
Keep On Posting is meant for teams and businesses and isn't directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
